Emergency providers have descended on a busy junction in Glasgow following stories of a motorbike crash earlier on Saturday.
Police and ambulance crews responded to a 999 name at 1.15pm to attend Dumbarton Street, between Crow Street and Hayburn Road. The smash is believed to have concerned a pink moped, and pictures shared on social media advised it had been carrying a Deliveroo supply rider.
A Scottish Ambulance Service incident response unit is in attendance on the scene. Eyewitnesses say that police are presently diverting passing motorists, however site visitors knowledge from Google Maps suggests there's build-up alongside the street and surrounding streets within the Partick space.
Locals say that it took half an hour for site visitors to start transferring following the crash.
The rider was taken to hospital by ambulance, and a lady has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged street site visitors offences. Police Scotland was unable to offer any particulars on the rider's situation on the time of publication.
A drive spokesperson mentioned: "Round 1.15 pm on Saturday, 17 September, 2022, police had been referred to as to a 3 car, two vehicles and a moped, street crash on Hayburn Road at its junction with Dumbarton Street, Glasgow.
"One man, the moped rider, has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital. No particulars on any harm at the moment. Nobody else reported as being injured.
"A lady would be the topic of a report back to the Procurator Fiscal for alleged street site visitors offences."
