Belfast Giants to fulfil this weekend’s Champions Hockey League fixtures despite the death of Queen Elizabeth II

The Belfast Giants will fulfil each of their Champions Hockey League fixtures this weekend towards Davos and Oceláři Třinec regardless of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The Giants are at present in Switzerland for his or her first recreation of the weekend towards Davos, with the sport towards Czech aspect Třinec going forward on the SSE Enviornment on Sunday at 4pm.

In an announcement launched on Twitter, the Giants revealed they're liaising with the CHL on an applicable method to mark the passing of the Queen previous to the sport towards Třinec.

"We're consulting with the CHL for an appropriate mark of respect and can replace on our plans sooner or later," learn the assertion.

"Our ideas proceed to be with our followers and the broader hockey household throughout the Elite League that mourn the Queen’s loss."
