Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer has launched the BBC documentary sequence Frozen Planet II by unveiling a set of ice sculptures in London.
The 12 four-foot figures of emperor penguins and polar bears had been put in on the steps of the Royal Albert Corridor because it hosted a particular Earth Promenade on Saturday.
