Man in court on murder charge after woman found seriously injured in Scots flat dies

A person has appeared in court docket charged with homicide after a girl died after being discovered significantly injured in Dunoon.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "A 43-year-old man has been charged in reference to the loss of life of a girl in Dunoon.

"Mairi Doherty, aged 41, from Dunoon, sustained critical accidents throughout a disturbance at flats within the John Road space of the city on Saturday, July 23.

"She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital in Glasgow the place she died three days later.

"The person appeared at Greenock Sheriff Courtroom on Tuesday, August 2."
