Final weekend noticed the return of the Linlithgow Union Canal’s enjoyable day which was a convincing success following a 3 12 months break as a result of pandemic.
Crowds flocked to the canal basin in Linlithgow to become involved within the festivities placed on by the Linlithgow Union Canal Society drawing in an enormous crowd of locals and other people from additional afield.

The winners of this years cardboard boat race had been:
Peter Coleman within the Colram Cruiser - taking house the British Waterways Trophy.
Findlay Erskine within the Batmobile - who gained the Reed Band Trophy
Emily Fleming in The Finest & Wurst boat - successful the Low Port Centre Trophy
Val & Garry Withnell within the Lamp - claiming the Yellow Duck Trophy
And Abbie Scott-Telford within the HMS Nubian - who nabbed the Novice Paddlers Trophy.
A spokesperson for the Linlithgow Union Canal Society, Stuart Rennie, stated:”I used to be delighted to see such large crowds following on from the pandemic.

“It’s nice to have the enjoyable day alive once more and we actually respect the assist from the area people
“We’re eager to maintain going with the enjoyable day, and reinstate it as an essential date in Linlithgow’s neighborhood calendar.”
