Holders Cliftonville start BetMcLean Cup defence with trip to Blanchflower Park while Linfield are set to play Moyola Park

Holders Cliftonville will begin their defence of the BetMcLean League Cup with a visit to Blanchflower Park.

The Reds, who captured the trophy at Windsor Park in March due to a 4-3 win over Coleraine, will play Lough 41 Championship membership Harland and Wolff Welders within the first spherical of this season’s version.

There can be two different League Cup clashes in east Belfast. Glentoran will face Institute at The Oval whereas Dundela play Crusaders at Wilgar Park.

All 16 first spherical ties can be performed on both Tuesday September 13 or Wednesday September 14, with 32 groups hoping to qualify for this season’s remaining.

Additionally within the draw, final season’s finalists Coleraine had been drawn at residence to Championship membership Dergview, whereas Linfield will journey to Mill Meadow to play PIL facet Moyola Park.

There can be a pair of Mid Ulster derbies as Portadown host Armagh Metropolis and Glenavon welcome Dollingstown to Mourneview Park. Premiership newboys Newry Metropolis go to Limavady United, whereas Carrick Rangers host Banbridge City.

Larne host Lisburn Distillery, Ards play Ballymena United and Dungannon Swifts host Queen’s College.

There are 4 all non-Premiership ties. Warrenpoint City host Newington, Bangor welcome Annagh United to Clandeboye Park, Ballyclare Comrades and Ballinamallard United conflict whereas Loughgall play Knockbreda at Lakeview.
