Channel 4 has been cleared by TV watchdog Ofcom over feedback Frankie Boyle made about Boris Johnson.
The regulator reviewed an episode of satirical present The Final Leg by which the Glasgow stand-up stated he hoped the PM could be “dragged screaming into hell”.
Boyle, 49, was responding to Johnson ending his closing Prime Minister’s Questions with the phrases: “Hasta la vista, child.”
He stated: “You completed with a quote from The Terminator ... I hope a vent opens up within the floor and clawed palms drag you screaming into hell.”
The gag sparked 11 complaints to Ofcom, which stated they “didn't elevate points warranting investigation”.
