First picture of dad-of-two who died in M8 tragedy involving HGV lorry

A dad-of-two who tragically died in an overturned lorry accident on the M8 has been named domestically as James Murray.

The driving force was concerned within the deadly collision at Hermiston Gait Roundabout in Edinburgh throughout rush hour on Tuesday August 23.

Emergency companies raced to the scene at 4pm and managed to rescue James, who was driving the automobile, from the black DAF lorry.

Regardless of their efforts, James, from Falkirk, was sadly pronounced lifeless by medics a short while later.

Tributes have poured in for the dad and husband as he has been remembered as 'considered one of life's good guys'.

Writing on Fb, his son, Jamie, mentioned his dad was the 'greatest' that 'anybody might ask for'.

He mentioned: "As his son, I can affirm he actually was one of the best father, husband and son anybody might’ve ever wished for."

One other particular person wrote: "James Murray was an absolute legend of a person. RIP James. Certainly one of life's good guys and what sensible patter you had."

One other responded to Jamie in his tribute to his father: "I hope you are all okay mate, we have now so many wonderful reminiscences of your dad rising up. He was sensible to us all and was amusing, what a person. So gutted this has occurred."

The stretch of highway was closed for round 12 hours to permit for an investigation on the scene and for restoration of the lorry. Officers say inquiries into the incident stay ongoing.

A police enchantment has been launched for dash-cam footage.

Sergeant Paul Ewing, of Police Scotland ’s Street Policing Unit, mentioned: “Our ideas are with the household and mates of the person concerned on this incident. Our enquiries to ascertain what led to this incident are ongoing and I might urge anybody with data to return ahead.

“We might be eager to talk to anybody who witnessed the incident or who might have dashcam footage of the automobile."

Anybody with data can name 101, quoting reference 2184 of August 23.
