Former Cambuslang Rangers striker John Gemmell has been given one other crack at senior soccer at 37, after signing a short-term deal at Dumbarton.
Veteran striker Gemmell, who turns 38 subsequent month, will add worthwhile expertise to the Sons, and it is believed he has signed till the top of this season.
Gemmell, who has performed for golf equipment together with Queen's Park, Albion Rovers (thrice) and Clyde.
Final season he scored 17 instances as Cambuslang Rangers gained the West of Scotland League Convention B title, regardless of spending a lot of it defence.

Gemmell has returned to Dumbarton 15 years after leaving the membership in 2007, having spent three years there.
The striker appeared as a trialist in Saturday's 4-0 house win over Annan Athletic, helping one of many objectives.
Boss Stevie Farrell instructed Dumbarton's web site: "John is a massively skilled striker at this stage and has educated with us in the previous few weeks.
"We've seen how arduous he has labored to get one other probability at senior stage, and we really feel he has quite a bit to present us this season."
