Residents have been evacuated after a blaze tore by a flat in Perth metropolis centre within the early hours of Monday morning.
4 fireplace crews rushed to the scene of the blaze in James Avenue after the alarm was raised at 5.50am.
Photos present the higher flooring of a three-storey block of flats, beside St Leonard’s-in-the-Fields Church, destroyed as fireplace fighters labored to deal with the smoke and flames from above.
Native residents have been evacuated as a precaution.

Regardless of a railway bridge coming near the scene, Scotrail mentioned no providers by Perth have been affected.
James Avenue was nonetheless closed at 10am and there have been diversions across the blocked street main off Marshall Place.
A SFRS spokesperson mentioned: “We have been alerted at 5.48am on Monday, August 22 to reviews of a fireplace inside a home on James Avenue, Perth.
“Operations management mobilised 4 home equipment and firefighters are tackling the fireplace.”
The affected property was at 42 James Avenue of the 4 home equipment in attendance, three have been from Perth and one other from Dunkeld.
Police confirmed they'd attended.
“Emergency providers are in attendance following a report of a fireplace at a property on James Avenue in Perth round 6am on Monday, August 22, 2022.
“Native residents have been evacuated as a precaution.
“James Avenue is closed and native diversions are in place.”
