Police in Angus have launched a probe after a lady died at a flat in Brechin.
Officers had been known as to an handle on River Avenue within the city on July 27 shortly after 12.30pm. A lady was pronounced useless on the scene shortly thereafter.
Locals report that a police officer has since been seen guarding the doorway to the property.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “We had been known as to River Avenue, Brechin at round 12.40pm on Wednesday following a report of concern for an individual.
“A 35-year-old girl was pronounced useless on the scene.
“Inquiries are ongoing to determine the total circumstances and a reviews might be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
