A West Lothian charity has obtained a particular thanks message from The Queen.
West Lothian 50+ Community have obtained the message for the handcrafted card they despatched to have a good time Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee final month.
The commerative card was made by the community’s Craft for Enjoyment group, run by member Elizabeth Florence, to have a good time the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The cardboard was despatched from Bathgate at the start of final month, and the 50+ community had a response from Buckingham Palace, only a month after they despatched it.
Craft for Enjoyment members made the colored ornamental paper for the cardboard from scratch.
The members use the handmade paper to create private playing cards and equipment with the help of different members.
The acknowledgement, now framed on the community’s new headquarters, reads: “I ship you my grateful thanks to your type message on the event of the seventieth anniversary of my accession to the throne.”
This wasn’t the one method the community celebrated the Queen’s jubilee - as members celebrated with a day tea at the start of June, which rapidly became a road occasion with members dancing the slosh.
Delighted with the response, the member-led Craft for Enjoyment group already have to work making ready Christmas playing cards for all the over 600 members on the community.
West Lothian 50+ Community trustee,Sue Bedford-Visser, stated:”The Craft for Enjoyment group are a beneficial a part of our community in West Lothian.

The Craft for Enjoyment group meets each Friday morning to take part in arts and crafts and mingle with different members.
