Scots teenager airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after quad bike crash

A teenage boy has been severely injured after the quad bike he was using was concerned in a crash. The 15-year-old was taken to hospital by helicopter after the crash on the A711 close to Kirkcudbright on Saturday.

He's being handled at Queen Elizabeth College Hospital in Glasgow, the place his situation is described as "critical". Emergency companies have been referred to as after the purple Honda quad bike was concerned in a crash on the A711 simply north of Mutehill village.

The highway was closed for six hours as investigations have been carried out. Inspector Greg Dinnie of Police Scotland appealed for witnesses to get in contact, saying: "A young person has sustained critical accidents and it's important that we set up how this crash occurred.

"We're interesting for anybody who might have been driving on this space previous to the crash and seen a red-coloured quad bike to return ahead. You might also have been within the space and have dashcam footage that may assist us. Please verify again and get in contact."
