Solicitor John McLaughlin, defending, mentioned: "Mr West took exception to the motor house being parked within the grassy space. It began as a grievance and developed into an argument.
"Mr West had felt considerably threatened and he took the axe. He accepts it was the flawed factor to do." He informed the court docket his consumer was liable to "catastrophising" incidents and he had since moved to sheltered housing away from the placement of the incident.
