Renfrew man who took extra shift at work fined for being out of his house after 7pm

A Renfrew man who took an additional shift at work was fined for being exterior his dwelling after his curfew hours.

Ross Faulds, 41, took an additional shift at Luna Rossa in Renfrew’s Canal Avenue on Saturday as his supervisor had “been let down.”

Paisley Sheriff Courtroom heard Faulds, of Edward Avenue, took an additional shift to “deep-clean” the kitchen on the bistro and didn’t get again dwelling till after 11.30pm.

“After viewing CCTV, officers cautioned and charged the accused for breaching his curfew situation, and he made no reply.”

Kevin Brady, defence agent instructed the courtroom the rationale Faulds referred to as the police was as a result of being assaulted on the way in which dwelling.

Mr Brady added: “He was working within the restaurant as a chef.

“His supervisor had been let down by one other member of employees and he took the additional shift to deep-clean the kitchen.

“He usually works lunch time shifts however took this shift for extra cash as he has substantial cash worries simply now.

Sentencing, Sheriff Laura Mundell mentioned: “This can be a critical matter as you stay topic to the curfew.

Sheriff Mundell fined Faulds £210 and ordered this to be paid at £5 per week.
