Rangers hero Andy Goram 'taken away far too soon' as pal Ally McCoist pays emotional tribute

Former Rangers and Scotland hero Ally McCoist has paid an emotional tribute to former team-mate and shut pal Andy Goram after his passing on the weekend..

Goram, 58, was given the information simply over two months in the past that he had terminal most cancers, and handed away at St Andrew's Hospice on Saturday.

McCoist, from East Kilbride, says the information was heartbreaking, however he and others can take braveness from how courageous Goram was in his battle.

He informed talkSPORT: "Andy acquired the information 10 weeks in the past that he had been identified with incurable most cancers, he was given six months. The pace of it has been completely scary.

"Nevertheless, having gone to see him regularly, initially on the hospital in Wishaw, East Kilbride, ultimately the hospice in Airdrie... initially, I want to thank everyone who sorted Andy.
