A person is preventing for his life after being knocked down on a highway in Edinburgh.
Emergency providers scrambled to Colinton Street, close to Napier College, after the accident occurred at round 10.30pm on Saturday July 30. A 35-year-old man had been struck by a black Mercedes-Benz A Class automotive on the highway.
Ambulance crews attended and the pedestrian was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for therapy. His situation is described by medical workers as essential.
The 20-year-old driver of the automotive was unhurt. Officers closed off a bit of the highway for six hours to permit crash scene investigators to conduct their enquiries.
Sergeant Iain McIntyre stated: "We imagine the world would have been busy on the time and are eager to talk to anybody who could have witnessed the collision. Particularly, we're eager to talk to the motive force of a black cab, who was both dropping off, or choosing up, passengers in Colinton Street on the time on the incident.
"We'd even be eager to talk to these passengers as they could have info which might be important to our enquiries. I might ask anybody with sprint cam units to examine their footage because it may maintain photographs, which may show to be important in our enquiries."
