Man fighting for his life after midnight murder bid in Glasgow's East End

A person is preventing for his life in hospital after being attacked in Glasgow's East Finish. The 31-year-old was significantly assaulted on Springfield Highway simply after midnight final night time, together with his accidents described as "life-threatening".

Emergency companies have been referred to as to the scene round 12.05am, with the person rushed to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital. Police are treating the assault as tried homicide and stated this afternoon that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The highway has been blocked off since cops arrived on the scene within the early hours, with diversions in place and a cordon across the space the place the incident occurred. A big police presence stays on the scene right now, with reviews of forensics officers working within the space round 4am.

Detective Inspector Kenny McDonald from Police Scotland stated: “Round 12.05am on Thursday, July 21, officers have been referred to as to Springfield Highway, Glasgow, after a 31-year-old man was significantly injured.

"Emergency companies attended and he was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital with what have been described as life threatening accidents.

“Officers are treating this as an tried homicide and inquiries are ongoing. Anybody with any data is requested to contact 101 quoting incident 0005 of 21 July, 2022. Alternatively data could be handed anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
