Man dies after horror crash on Scots road as cops launch probe

A person has died following a horror crash on a Scots highway yesterday.

Emergency providers raced to the A92 at Bridge of Muchalls close to Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire, after the alarm was raised at round 4.20pm on Saturday July 30. Ambulance crews attended however tragically a 47-year-old has been confirmed to have died.

Police closed the highway off for a number of hours following the incident. Officers have now launched a probe into establishing the circumstances of the two-vehicle smash.

A Police Scotland spokesperson mentioned: "A 47-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash close to the Aberdeenshire city of Stonehaven.

"The accident occurred on the A92 at Bridge of Muchalls shortly after 1620 hours.

"An investigation to find out the circumstances of the incident is ongoing."
