Man dies after being struck by lorry on A90 as police appeal for information

A person has died after he was struck by a lorry on one in all Scotland's important trunk roads.

The 57-year-old was struck by the heavy items car on the westbound A90 close to the Bullionfield Filling Station, simply exterior of Dundee and the close by Perthshire village of Invergowrie. Police had been known as at round 11am on Friday to attend.

Sadly the sufferer was pronounced lifeless on the scene. The incident closed the street in each instructions, with the eastbound carriageway re-opening round two hours later.

Police in Tayside have now opened an investigation into the incident on the westbound street, which is anticipated to stay closed till round 6pm.

They're interesting to drivers who had been within the space on the time to get in contact in the event that they witnessed something or could have captured the incident on a dashboard digicam.

Sergeant Stephen Livesey, of Police Scotland's Street Policing Unit, mentioned: “Enquiries are at an early stage and we're eager to talk to anybody who was within the space on the time or has sprint cam footage of the incident.”
