Lockerbie women take on Scotland's toughest trekathon for Cancer Research UK

4 Lockerbie girls took half in Scotland’s hardest trekathon on Saturday to lift £1,300 for Most cancers Analysis UK.

Alison Voss, Debbie Semple, Frances Currie and Annette Carter skilled for six months within the Lake District and the Moffat hills in preparation for the Nice Glencoe Problem.

They had been tasked with trekking 26.2 miles from the guts of picturesque Glencoe to the foot of the UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, in below 12 hours.

Alison stated: “That is Scotland’s hardest trekathon, masking 26 miles, and gaining 4,000 ft.

“It was very difficult bodily and mentally, and the climate situations had been difficult as nicely on Saturday however we did it, with loads of smiles on the finish.

“It was all in help of Most cancers Analysis UK and we now have raised about £1,300 which we're delighted with.”
