John Oliver Returns to Brutally Roast Josh Hawley Over Jan. 6 Fleeing Video

Following a month-long absence—and two Emmy nominations—John Oliver returned to the desk of Final Week Tonight on Sunday to excoriate the grifters and clowns of the week.

Once we final noticed him, Oliver was going after Democratic management for their lackluster response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which included Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi reciting a poem and one Home consultant doing yoga in his workplace.

This week’s version noticed Oliver tackle Josh Hawley, the ineffectual GOP Missouri senator who pumped his fist on the Jan. 6 insurrectionists to rile them up. On Thursday, the Home Jan. 6 committee revealed footage of Hawley working for security when the individuals he incited that day stormed the Capitol.

“That's painfully embarrassing,” exclaimed a giddy Oliver. “That's the gait of a person who has both simply gassed up an revolt that's now bearing down on prime of him or simply drank a big iced espresso 45 minutes in the past. Both approach, these legs scream: I’ve made an enormous mistake.”

Former D.C. police officer Michael Fanone, who was injured by the insurrectionists on Jan. 6, stated of the Hawley video, “The primary ideas that popped into my thoughts was, ‘Josh Hawley is a bitch. And he ran like a bitch.’”

“Now, I personally wouldn't say that. I’d say Josh Hawley is a bitch who ran like a chihuahua desperately making an attempt to maintain up with its proprietor on an informal stroll. However you understand what? To every their very own.”
