Ayrshire detectives have launched an investigation after a property was torched late final evening.
Houses on Ayr's James Avenue had been evacuated after the emergency companies had been alerted to the blaze at round 11.20pm.
Police have confirmed at the moment that no person was injured within the hearth and that residents had been allowed to return to their houses after firefighters had extinguished the flames and the world was made secure.
