Dundee man in hospital after unprovoked attack on trio by gang of youths

A younger man has been left in hospital after he and two girls had been focused in an "unprovoked" assault by a gang of youths in Dundee. Tayside cops are interesting for data after the incident occurred at round 10.50pm on Sunday July 10.

Police say the trio had been assaulted by a bunch of 4 youths on West Marketgait close to the Lidl on South Ward Street. Emergency providers attended and the person, 20, was taken to Ninewells Hospital for therapy. The 2 girls, aged 18 and 19, had been unhurt within the incident.

Officers are interesting for data in figuring out the attackers. The primary suspect is described as a white male, aged 16-18, of thin construct, about 6ft tall with brief darkish hair and sporting a gray or black tracksuit.

The second suspect is a white male, aged about 16 or 17, about 5ft 9-10in tall, of thin construct and was sporting a black baseball cap and all black clothes. The third suspect is a white feminine, aged about 16 or 17, about 5ft 5-5ft 7in tall, of thin construct with bleached blonde hair with brown roots in a ponytail and was sporting all black and was strolling a pitbull fashion canine.

The fourth suspect is a white feminine, aged about 16 or 17. She is about 5ft 4-5ft 5in tall, of chubby construct with lengthy dyed black hair and was sporting black biking shorts and a pink/purple colored high.

Constable Andrew Weir, of Dundee West Bell Avenue Police Station, mentioned: “These assaults have been fully unprovoked and our enquiries are ongoing to hint these accountable. I urge anybody who could have witnessed the incident or has any details about the suspects to please contact officers.

“I'm additionally interesting to motorists with sprint cams, who had been within the space across the time of the incident, to test their footage. They might have unknowingly captured photos which might help our investigation.”
