Dumfries Guid Nychburris photo competition winners receive their awards

The winners of the 2022 Guid Nychburris picture competitions have picked up their awards.

Almost 100 photographs have been submitted and judged by members of Loreburn Digital camera Membership.

The winner of the senior part was Amanda Sumner who captured Lynor William Black “palms free” on Buccleuch Road on the Guid Nychburris parade.

And the most effective entry within the junior class got here from four-year-old Autumn McDonald who captured Cornet Ross Findlater at Burns Statue on the driving of the marches on Saturday, June 18.

Each Amanda and Autumn have been invited to hitch Cornet Ross and Cornet’s Lass Robyn Peden on the Guid Nychburris govt committee assembly the place they have been offered with their trophies and Guid Nychburris rosettes.

The Guid Nychburris committee respect the help of many who entered the competitors and thank the Loreburn Digital camera Membership members who had the tough job of judging the entries.

New trophies have been bought this 12 months as a part of the ninetieth anniversary celebrations of Guid Nychburris, the classes have been cut up into senior and junior sections.
