Children thank cops for 'saving their lives' after watching alleged domestic incident unfold in front of them

Youngsters have thanked police officers for 'saving their lives' after an alleged home incident unfolded in entrance of them. The children penned letters to the officers who responded to the report.

Leicestershire Cops had been known as to a home incident that had been thought-about "excessive threat". The ordeal had taken place in "full view of the youngsters", non permanent Chief Constable Rob Nixon stated.

In a tweet, Mr Nixon detailed what he described as a "bittersweet" response to the incident, sharing pictures of the letters and particulars of the incident, Leicestershire Stay stories.

Whereas praising the cops concerned within the response, he highlighted the influence that the incident would have on the youngsters. Within the letters, accompanied by drawings of cops, the youngsters, who haven't been recognized, wrote: "Thanks a lot for saving our lives, it actually means lots to us." Mr Nixon confirmed within the Tweet that applicable measures have now been taken to ensure the household are stored secure.

He wrote on Twitter: "It's fantastic to see how brilliantly the officers supplied look after the youngsters however unhappy that this can be a life expertise they are going to always remember. Huge thanks to all of the officers concerned.

"Totally skilled, caring and clearly impactive." Operational Command Inspector, Nadia Rana, added in response: "Typically we by no means realise the true influence now we have on individuals's lives. These photos paint a thousand phrases."

A 46-year-old man who was arrested in reference to the incident was launched on bail, a spokesperson for Leicestershire Police stated.
