Boris Johnson attacks Rishi Sunak as he uses final PMQs to back Liz Truss on tax cuts

Boris Johnson has bowed out of the Commons by aiming a dig at former chancellor Rishi Sunak who he believes betrayed him.

The Prime Minister signed off with a “hasta la vista, child” catchphrase from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character as he referred to as on his successor to disregard the Treasury and reduce taxes.

The remark was seen as backhanded help for Liz Truzz, the International Secretary who has promised cuts in company tax.

Management rival Sunak has been cautious on rapid tax cuts.

Rounding off his closing PMQs, Boris stated: “I wish to use the previous couple of seconds to present some phrases of recommendation to my successor, whoever she or he could also be.
