Police have charged two boys in reference to a fireplace at a historic Scots soccer stadium.
The pair, aged 12 and 14, had been charged with wilful fireplace elevating after a blaze destroyed buildings on the Fife stadium.
Cops say they're saddened to see the Eastvale FC stadium in Windygates focused on Tuesday at 10pm, because it was an "vital a part of the village's soccer heritage".
Sergeant Craig Fyall, of Levenmouth Police Station, stated: “That is one other reminder of the devastation that may be brought on by fireplace and this can be very lucky that no-one was injured on this event.
“Eastvale and Greig Park have traditionally been an vital a part of the village’s soccer heritage so it was notably disappointing to see the power destroyed by an act of fireside elevating.
"The response from the group, elected members and companies following the occasions on Tuesday to drag collectively in help of the soccer membership has been fairly outstanding and hopefully the power might be restored as shortly as attainable.”
On Wednesday morning, membership Chairman David Smith famous how he was left feeling "completely devastated" following the hearth.
