Taxi bursts into flames on Scots road as emergency services race to scene

A taxi has burst into flames on a Scots highway this night.

Emergency companies raced to Important Road in Springfield, Fife, after the alarm was raised at round 8.20pm on Tuesday, June 21.

Hearth crews scrambled to the scene after the car rapidly grew to become engulfed in flames.

Dramatic footage taken from the scene present a number of fighters battling the blaze.

Large plumes of smoke may be seen billowing out of the taxi whereas shocked locals watch on.

It is at present unclear how the fireplace began however it's not believed anybody was injured consequently.

Hearth crews confirmed the blaze had been extinguished by round 9pm.

A spokesperson from the Scottish Hearth and Rescue Service stated: "We have been referred to as at 8.20pm to a taxi on hearth on the tackle.

"We despatched one equipment from Cupar and we now have now extinguished the fireplace."

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed they weren't referred to as to the scene.
