Stewartry primary pupils enjoy mini tag rugby tournament

Kids from three Stewartry major faculties loved a mini-tag rugby event.

The P6/7 lessons from the Hardgate, Lochrutton and Springholm Major partnership took half within the occasion held with Stewartry Rugby Membership.

The day was organised by Stewartry Sirens captain Claire Manson and vice-captain Clare Dooley, who can be a trainer at Springholm Major. They ran a training session and a mini-tag event with groups combined from the three faculties.

The groups had been named after totally different rugby nations with Scotland taking victory.

Claire and Clare additionally had assist from Matthew Hind and Amy Peacock, who each play for the Stewartry RFC within the respective age group. They helped with the teaching periods and refereed the tag rugby video games.
