A harmful driver has been banned from the roads for a decade for inflicting a crash on an Ayrshire highway.
Stuart Shankley, of Wylie Crescent in Cumnock, triggered critical damage to his long run associate, who was a passenger in his Honda Civic on the time, after he collided with one other automobile on the A70 Ayr Highway, Cumnock, on the entrance to Dumfries Home, again in 2020.
The 43-year-old is now left caring for his associate, together with his solicitor telling Ayr Sheriff Courtroom he's reminded of his actions each single day.

“He overcorrected this and his wheel slipped on the grass verge.
“His passenger was badly injured and he's now her carer.
“He's remindful of those occasions on a regular basis.
“He helps by washing her garments and attending hospital appointments.
“He's very remorseful. He's extraordinarily sorry.”
Ms Scobie added that Shankley does have earlier convictions for highway site visitors incidents.
Sheriff Mhairi McTaggart requested Ms Scobie: “Does he admire that due to the intense nature of this that he'll lose his license for a really very long time?”
Talking on to Shankley, Sheriff McTaggart mentioned: “I don’t assume the seriousness of that is misplaced on you.
“That’s a really, very harmful piece of driving within the first place, that’s why you’ve been charged with a Part 2 [dangerous driving].”
As an alternative choice to custody, Shankley was disqualified from driving for 10 years and positioned on a group payback order.
As a part of the order, he will likely be tagged for 5 months and obtain supervision for twenty-four months.
