Pair seen digging up historical site after searching with metal detectors

A person and lady seen illegally digging at a historic web site in Aberdeenshire are wished for questioning by police.

The incident occurred on the Historic Setting Scotland web site at Findlater Fort, Sandend - simply outdoors of Banff.

Round 12.30pm on Monday, June 20, a male and a feminine had been seen utilizing a steel detector after which digging in an space that has been designated as protected by Historic Setting Scotland.
