Lanarkshire music school kids rock theatre with summer showcase

Village Faculty of Music (VSOM) college students thrilled audiences with all the pieces from Tchaikovsky to Lewis Capaldi as their annual summer season showcase returned post-pandemic.

Performances got here from the RockClub, VSOM’s combined instrument rock band for 14-19 12 months olds, RockStarz, their combined instrument rock band for 8-13 12 months olds and FiddleClub.

And RockClub, that includes Freya Talbot (vocals), Keira Bogachev (bass) and Matthew Duncan (drums) introduced the home down with 4 back-to-back rock classics from Queen, The Seashore Boys, Blondie and Elvis for the showstopping finale.

Administrators Jamie and Lucy Finn stated: “Each live performance we're blown away with how a lot the scholars develop as musicians – it’s an actual honour to be a part of their musical journey.”

The Village Faculty of Music is East Kilbride’s longest operating music college with a workforce of 15 skilled music tutors instructing 10 totally different devices.
