Jeanfield Swifts Girls lift silverware on special day for the club at Bayview

Younger footballers from Jeanfield Swifts Ladies did themselves proud at a weekend finals’ day.

The Perth membership returned from Bayview Stadium, residence of East Fife, with two hard-earned East Area trophies on Sunday.

First up, the Jeanfield Jags U14s lifted the League Cup Plate following a 3-2 extra-time win towards Panmure.

And celebrations continued within the afternoon when the U16 staff defeated Dundee United 2-0 within the League Cup remaining.

Jeanfield Ladies’ secretary Kevin Johnstone stated: “The U14 Jags have been first up and that went to further time, which was most likely fairly a nervy second for the coaches!
