Four terrified cats dumped in Ayrshire layby as appeal for information launched

An investigation has been launched after 4 terrified cats had been dumped at an Ayrshire layby.

The Scottish SPCA has launched a probe after the felines had been discarded on Boig Street in Cumnock yesterday.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity was alerted to the incident when a member of the general public noticed the cats along with the highway in a canine crate.

Scottish SPCA inspector, Caitlin Rea, mentioned, “The 4 felines had been all grownup, black cats and had been found in a medium sized canine crate in a layby on Boig Street.

“Three of the cats are quick haired and one is lengthy haired. They aren't microchipped.

“All of them look like in good well being, however are understandably terrified from their ordeal.

“We recognize that folks’s circumstances can change, however this isn't the proper means to surrender an animal. These cats would have been triggered a substantial amount of pointless misery.
