Body of man found in West Lothian house after neighbour "hadn't seen him for months"

The physique of a person was found at a West Lothian flat after a neighbour stated they hadn't seen him for months.

Officers have been known as to the property on Lanrigg Highway in Fauldhouse on Sunday night time.

The physique of a 57-year-old man was discovered inside.

Police are investigating the demise.

A neighbour, who noticed six forensic officers eradicating packing containers from the flat stated he hadn't seen his neighbour in months.

The neighbour advised the File: "I hadn't seen him for six months and I've not seen the man who lets the property for round three months.

"The police have been there from 6pm and brought on a site visitors jam they usually have been there till round 5am the subsequent morning.

"I've acquired an ex-partner and children and I am simply sitting right here pondering 'is that going to be me in the future?'"

Officers carried out door-to-door enquiries on the scene.

Police Scotland confirmed that enquiries are persevering with and that a report shall be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "Round 7.30pm on Sunday, 12 June, police have been known as to an tackle in Lanrigg Highway, Fauldhouse, Bathgate.

"A 57-year-old man was pronounced lifeless on the scene. Enquiries proceed presently.

"A report shall be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
