Biker dies in hospital days after crash with van in Scots industrial estate

A motorcyclist has died in hospital 4 days after a horror crash in a Scots industrial property.

The 45-year-old was rushed to hospital after the crash involving a van in Moorfield Industrial Property in Kilmarnock, round 2.10pm on Tuesday June 7.

Police have now confirmed the biker died on Saturday night on the Queen Elizabeth College Hospital in Glasgow.

The 39-year-old male driver of the van was unhurt and the street was closed for 4 hours after the incident to permit collision investigations to happen.

Enquiries to ascertain the total circumstances of the incident stay ongoing and officers are urging anybody with data to get in contact.

Police will be contacted by calling 101 and quoting the reference 1863 of seven June, 2022.
