Woman attacked on public footpath in Arbroath as police hunt thug

Police are searching a thug after a lady was attacked on a footpath in Arbroath.

The terrifying assault occurred within the Glenogil Drive space of the city on the weekend.

Officers stated the 40-year-old sufferer was strolling on a footpath close to Moonlight Gardens at 1.20am on Saturday when she was attacked.

A number of residents in close by housing have been alerted by the disturbance and shouted on the attacker who ran off.

He was final seen heading in the direction of the adjoining enjoying fields or within the Seaton Highway course.

The person is described as being round 5ft 3in tall or barely taller, medium construct, darkish trousers with presumably a lighter color jacket, darkish hair with gel and a overseas accent.

Detective Inspector Graeme Wishart stated: “Door to door enquiries have been carried out and we'd urge anybody who could have seen or heard something to return ahead.
