Renfrew woods taped off after 23-year-old woman sexually assaulted

Police in Renfrew have launched an investigation after a girl was sexually assaulted this morning.

A police cordon stays at a wooded space off of Meadowside Avenue, close to to Clyde Avenue after a 23-year-old girl was attacked.

Native officers are investigating the incident to ascertain the total circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Officers are investigating a report of the sexual assault of a 23-year-old girl which occurred on Monday, Might 2, close to to Clyde Avenue, Renfrew.

The assault comes only a week after a 27-year-old girl was assaulted within the space.
