Police block off Scots graveyard after woman ‘raped’ during late night attack

Police have launched an investigation after a girl was allegedly raped close to a graveyard in Aberdeen.

A cordon has been thrown up within the St Clement Road space of the town after a 32-year-old girl was attacked at round 2.20am on Sunday, Might 15.

Officers stay on the scene whereas a full investigation to ascertain the total circumstances of the intense sexual assault is carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that enquiries are at an early stage.

They stated: “We obtained a report referring to the intense sexual assault of a 32-year-old girl within the St Clement Road space of Aberdeen round 2.20am on Sunday, 15 Might.

“Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the total circumstances and a police presence is at present being maintained within the space.”
