A person has tragically died in a home hearth in Aberdeenshire, police have confirmed.
The alarm was raised of experiences of a fireplace at round 12.55pm on Friday at a property on Townhead Avenue in Inverurie.
Emergency providers raced to the property however sadly a person died on the scene, Aberdeen Reside experiences.
Police have stated that enquiries are ongoing into the incident however the hearth is "not believed to be suspicious".
A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "Round 12.55pm on Friday, Could 27, 2022, police acquired a report of a fireplace in Townhead Avenue, Inverurie.
"Emergency providers attended and a person died on the scene.
"His subsequent of kin has been knowledgeable.
"Enquiries are ongoing however the hearth is just not believed to be suspicious."
