Emergency companies scrambled to Kirbister Loch, close to Orphir in Orkney, after the alarm was raised at round 1pm on Wednesday, Might 11.
A 56-year-old man was faraway from the water however sadly, he died on the scene.
Officers have confirmed that his subsequent of kin has been made conscious of the tragic dying.
