Little Scots girl suffers horrific facial wounds after dog attack in Glasgow garden

A baby was left needing 60 stitches on her face after being mauled by a canine in an alleged assault in Glasgow.

4-year-old Harley Chatterton was in her gran's buddy's communal backyard on Bredishold Highway, Baillieston at round 4.30pm on Might 14, when a canine savaged her face leaving her with a number of wounds.

The teenager was attacked by a one-year-old Jackador canine.

Harley was heard screaming in ache as a number of ladies rushed to tug the canine off of her.

Harley's gran Janet Finlay witnessed the canine pounce on her granddaughter from a close-by balcony and shortly ran to her support.

She was left lined in blood as she tried to free the terrified tot from the canine's grip.

The 24-year-old added: "All I had been advised was that Harley had been attacked by a canine. I did not know the place or how unhealthy it was. Me and Stephen acquired there shortly after it occurred.

"The very first thing I noticed was my mum lined in blood. I used to be horrified, I knew it should have been critical.

"After I noticed my little woman's face I used to be heartbroken. She was in a lot ache and would not let anybody close to her. She was crying hysterically."

Emergency providers have been referred to as to the scene and Harley was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Sick Kids in Glasgow.

The next day she underwent cosmetic surgery in a bid to restore the deep wounds.

After a two hour operation she was left with 60 stitches in 13 completely different locations on her face.

Caprice stated her daughter's lip was so swollen that she may barely eat or drink for 2 days.

She added: "She was in agony and could not eat or drink. It was so arduous to observe as a result of we could not make her higher.

"After she noticed herself within the mirror, she stored asking why the canine did this to her. She stated, 'what did I do unsuitable mummy', my coronary heart was damaged for her."

A 21-year-old girl is ready to look at Glasgow Sheriff Court docket at a later date in reference to the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Officers have been referred to as to stories of a kid having been bitten by a canine on Bredishold Highway, Glasgow at round 4.55pm on Saturday, 14 Might, 2022.
