Labour party unveils plaque marking Workers' Memorial Day in Perth

Perth and Kinross Labour Celebration marked Worldwide Employees’ Memorial Day (IWMD) on April 28 in Perth.

Visiting a web site within the North Inch park for the annual remembrance service for staff who've died or been injured whereas finishing up their employment roles, native authorities candidates Alasdair Bailey, Kirsten Roper and Scott Forsyth joined Lorna Robertson, Unite department secretary at NHS Tayside.

He was joined by Scottish Labour’s native authorities candidates Kirsten Roper for Perth Metropolis South and Scott Forsyth for Perth Metropolis Centre and Lorna Robertson, Unite Department Secretary, NHS Tayside Department.

Cllr Bailey stated: “It's with nice pleasure that I together with different Scottish Labour candidates in Perth and Kinross have taken time away from our marketing campaign to attend our annual remembrance service in Perth.

“We owe an amazing debt to all staff who've put their lives on the road, particularly within the final 12 months.

“This event permits us to indicate our collective respect.”

Lorna Robertson, Unite department secretary, NHS Tayside, stated: “I’m happy to be representing NHS Tayside department on IWMD and remembering all of the well being workers who misplaced their lives throughout the pandemic, and our well being and security reps working laborious to maintain our members protected at their workplace.
