Appeal for witnesses as teen left fighting for life after being struck by van

Police in Aberdeen have urged motorists who might have captured a near-fatal collision on the metropolis's bypass on their dashcams to get in contact as they launch a probe into the incident.

Because the Report reported earlier immediately an 18-year-old man was struck by a van at round 1.55am on the A90 southbound, near its junction with the A944 in the direction of Alford.

The driving force of the white Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van was unhurt within the collision.

Paramedics took the teenager from the scene of the accident - on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route that bypasses the Granite Metropolis - to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for therapy.

Police say he suffered "life-threatening accidents" within the crash.

Elements of the highway stay closed between Kingswells North and Kingswells South whereas officers perform enquiries.

Within the meantime, highway policing cops have urged anybody who might have been within the space to contact the police as quickly as attainable, notably if they've dashcam footage that might show helpful.
