Woman found dead in Aberdeen home and man arrested as cops launch murder probe

A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a girl was murdered at a Scots property on Sunday night.

Emergency companies raced to Glenbervie Street, Aberdeen, round 5.30pm final night time to reviews of a 26-year-old man and 58-year-old girl being injured.

Sadly the lady couldn't be saved and was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The person was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and stays in a secure situation.

A big police presence stays within the space at the moment with most of the surrounding roads cordoned off as detectives proceed to probe the homicide.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in reference to the incident.

Detective Inspector Gary Winter, of Police Scotland’s Main Investigation Staff, stated: "Enquiries are at an early stage and there shall be a big police presence and exercise within the space of Glenbervie Street, Aberdeen, while we stock out our investigation into this incident.

"This would seem to have be an remoted incident and there was no wider menace to the local people.

"Anybody who heard or noticed something within the space is requested to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2499 of Sunday, 3 April, 2022."
