The mum of Tory MSP Annie Wells' grandchildren has described her panic as she and a neighbour carried her twin child boys down nearly a dozen flights of stairs to flee a tower block blaze.
Caren Ferguson, 23, was sitting with three-month-old sons Noah and Freddie in her Springburn flat on Monday morning when a neighbour battered on her door to warn her of a fireplace on the ground beneath.
She informed the Report how she scrambled to assemble up blankets and bottles for the boys and, with the assistance of the on a regular basis hero from throughout the corridor, carried them down eleven flights as sirens blazed and firefighters stormed the constructing.
