A Scottish animal charity has shared a distressing picture of a seal tangled in discarded garbage on the Aberdeenshire coast.
The Scottish SPCA stated the little male was fortunately rescued by certainly one of their animal officers however urged the general public to pay attention to the issue litter may cause to our native wildlife.
Posting on their official Fb web page, the charity shared pictures of the struggling seal, including: "Animal rescue officer Lynn was known as to assist this seal on the Aberdeenshire coast who was tangled in discarded netting and cord."
The photographs then confirmed the male seal with the netting wrapped tightly round its neck.
