Sou-per Dalbeattie day raises more than £1,000 for Ukraine

A soup-er technique to increase funds for Ukraine proved standard in Dalbeattie on Friday morning.

Former Purple Cross volunteers Alison Elkins, Susan Strachan, Mary Clarke, Penny Bryson and Margaret Adams organised a soup and candy occasion to lift funds for the humanitarian effort within the war-torn nation.

After the associated fee for the usage of the lesser city corridor was handled, the superb whole of £1,188 was banked for the Purple Cross DEC Ukraine fund.
