Silverburn bus station 'chemical spill' as multiple emergency services respond

An emergency response has been prompted to a Scots bus station following stories of a chemical spill.

Police and fireplace crews are at present in attendance at Silverburn Bus Station in Glasgow.

Two fireplace engines have been drafted in to take care of the continuing incident, which doesn't pose a threat to the broader public.

It's at present identified if there are any accidents.

A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: "At 1.25pm on Thursday, April 7, officers obtained a report of a chemical spill at an deal with on Cowglen Highway, Glasgow.

"Emergency companies are on scene and there's no wider threat to the general public."

A Scottish Fireplace and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesperson added: "We have been alerted to an incident on Cowglen Highway, Glasgow at 1.25pm at the moment.

"SFRS deployed two fireplace engines to the scene the place firefighters are at present helping police."
